MADISON , ALA. -- , UNITED STATES, November 27, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- MADISON, Ala. -- Local author Ray Hensley has teamed-up with Tate Publishing for the publication of his new book, "The C.R.A.C.K.".

Based on a story of capturing, obliterating a group of outer space pirates, "The C.R.A.C.K." takes readers on a quest into space warriors fighting to stop the tyranny.

"I have loved science fiction as far back as I can remember. Outer space is and always has been a place of mystery and intrigue. [There is] so much unknown out there. I have never believed we are alone in this galaxy. ‘The C.R.A.C.K.’ is a book that is set in the not-so-distant future and reveals a story that you can believe in. [It’s] not blood and guts, nor weird monsters -- but real things, with real characters living out their lives or trying to," shares Hensley.

"We are delighted to be partnering with such a promising author. Hensley shows us a story of struggle, desperation, bonding, and giving your all towards a common goal for mankind," states Acquisitions Editor for Tate Publishing, Shannon Lloyd.

Referencing to his Chickasaw heritage, Hensley adds that "I have touched a lot of the world in my career and many of those experiences are recounted in the books I write. I am a registered Chickasaw American Indian and wear my heritage proudly. Indians of old were story tellers as it was their source of entertainment. I consider myself as a story teller and enjoy doing the job.”

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release, through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Ray Hensley was born and raised in Ardmore, Oklahoma. After graduating as an Engineer at the Oklahoma State University, Hensley was hired by the U.S. Army. He served as an intern and graduated into an Army Logistics Program eventually retiring as a Logistics Manager for the OH-58D helicopter. He and his wife have been married for 50 years with two children. During his free time, Ray enjoys fishing, hunting, and is a car enthusiast.
