Campus California is Celebrating its 14th Year by Becoming Recycle for Change

Change your clothes Change the world

At Recycle for Change, we want to empower everyone to be a part of positive change in the world.

RICHMOND, CA, USA, November 21, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Campus California is proud to announce a new name. As it's operations have evolved over the years their mission has stayed true. However, their old name Campus California no longer reflected the globally reaching positive change they are able to effect via the help of site hosts and those who support them with tax deductible donations of clothes and shoes. They are, therefore, proud to announce that going forward they will be known as Recycle for Change to better reflect both their commitment to the environment and to fighting climate change and poverty on a global scale.

Recycle for Change wants to empower everyone to be a part of positive change in the world. As the great Mahatma Gandhi said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” They believe that through Recycle for Change everyone can be part of creating a more sustainable world for all. In the current economic environment, not everyone can afford to provide monetary donations, but many have other ways they can support non-profits like theirs. Local business owners support them through their sharing of space, enabling the public at large to participate on a much larger scale, while the wonderful individuals who donate to their collection boxes provide them with the means of monetary support that allows Recycle for Change to subsidize the collection of what is currently over 8 million pounds of clothing each year. But the impact does not stop there. Not only are they keeping these items out of the landfill, but the sale of the donated clothing enables them to support three other non-profit organizations that train volunteers who will work on development projects such as Child Aids, Sustainable Farming Initiatives, Teacher Training and a community mobilization program focused on preventing HIV transmission and improving the living conditions of people living with the virus.

Recycle for Change looks forward to continuing the fight in protecting the environment and fighting with the poor to make this world a better place for everyone. As they like to say: Change your clothes, Change the world!
