The MRP Certification Is For Real Estate Professionals Who Want To Work With Current And Former Military Service Members

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA, USA, October 30, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Herb Uthlaut is a Certified Military Relocation Professional in the State of South Carolina, having completed his certification requirements in March, 2014.

Herb is currently with Coldwell Banker, United REALTORS®. "I've worked with Military referrals from USAA and Navy Federal through CARTUS for the past several years," says Herb. "So I thought that taking the MRP course would help me provide even better service to the Military community. Herb comes from a background in the Military. His father served in the army in Italy following WWII and was recalled during the Korean War. Herb was born in the Army Hospital at Fort Bliss, Texas while his father was stationed there.

Prior to working in the Real Estate profession, Herb was a pharmaceutical sales representative for GlaxoSmithKline, where many of his accounts included Military hospitals and clinics in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and even Germany. "I took an early retirement," he says. "I wanted to have my own business and Real Estate offered me the opportunity to do that. It also allowed me to continue to be of service with professionalism and integrity as well as to maintain my detail-oriented approach to business."

Herb Uthlaut graduated from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where he met and later married his beautiful wife MaryEllen. They have four children and six grandchildren. One of their sons is an active-duty Ranger with the United States Army and a nephew is currently active-duty in the United States Army as well.

Herb is a top producer and in 2013 was recognized as a REALTOR® of Distinction by the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS® and also as an International Sterling Society Member for Coldwell Banker, United REALTORS®.

Aside from working with Military families relocating to or from Joint Base Charleston (which is an amalgamation of Charleston Air Force Base and the Naval Weapons Station Charleston), Herb serves both buyers and sellers in the Charleston, Summerville, North Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Hanahan, Goose Creek, Moncks Corner and James Island communities.

Herb is certified as an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®), a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®), and an Internet specialist (e-PRO®). He also has been certified as a Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE®) and Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), so if you are facing potential foreclosure, he has been specially trained to help you avoid this very difficult situation.

Herb is active as an Elder at Scots Kirk Presbyterian Church in Summerville, South Carolina. He is an Eagle Scout, and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award after working with local Boy Scout Troops for many years. He also enjoys hunting and woodworking.
