Become a Patron of the Arts with De la Loop

MISSION VIEJO, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, October 24, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Great art has always grown out of emotions. And it has always needed benefactors. Indiegogo crowdfunding events bring unique opportunities for both artists and benefactors. The good news is that you don’t have to be a multi-millionaire or some sort of royalty to support the arts – or to have a chance to appreciate them. Online communities of creative people have grown up all over the world, thanks to the Internet. Sharing and collaborating has never been so easy or as enjoyable as it is today.

De la loop is both an online community of artists, and it is Brian Hausheer’s recording label. Gathered under the de la Loop umbrella are Brian and his friends. They include Beverly Salas, whose beautiful surreal artwork is available as prints, t-shirts and even mobile phone covers; Dakota, a singer who could just about make the wind weep; The CStix, who do a kind of Reggae; My Beautiful Leah, which leans toward techno; Asleep at the Gate that has a sort of rock/folk feel, and more. These kind folk have donated some of their creations to for Brian to use as rewards for people who are willing to help create a studio that will nurture artists of all ages and types.

For Brian, music and passion are his shield against the hard realities of life. His father received a severe spinal injury from being in a car wreck. His mother, a teacher who worked in public schools for 40 years, has tumors and a rare, debilitating disease. His family has always been artistic.

This Indiegogo Crowdfunding campaign is to help create a Music & Art Community, Charity & Studio Fund. Part of the money would be used to create a studio that would support all sorts of arts – music, video, representational art, and perhaps even more. The rest of the money would support music education and medical research. Brian promises participants that the studio and charity fund are the only ways this money would be used, other than providing participating artists with materials.

Historically, patrons of the arts have been noblemen or wealthy merchants. But we live in an age of small miracles – one of them being that anyone can contribute to a crowdfunding event. The contributions start small – and, of course, the rewards start kind of small, too. But rather than creating a specific roster of rewards, contributors can select art work or music valued at their donation level. Contribution levels start at $5.00, with a choice of T-shirt or Album, and continue with $20 for a choice of Shirt, art piece or album, or even a $50 grab bag of art, including small sculptures, albums, or art work. Contributions that add up to $1000 or more will be divided evenly between the Studio fund and charitable contributions.
The interesting thing about crowdfunding is that if everyone gives just a little bit, it can add up to a lot. Brian is working on a truly amazing idea that will benefit many people – and not just the artists. Music education has been shown to improve student comprehension of mathematics and to increase the ability to focus on tasks at hand. With school budgets strained to the breaking point, an educational fund might save a floundering music department. Medical research – well, Brian’s interest in that is certainly clear. But his desire to give outwardly, to ways to benefit everyone, is truly beautiful. In these modern times, nobility is as much a thing of the mind as it is a circumstance of birth or the balance in your bank account.

Brian and his friends don’t leave you to wonder what kind of beautiful things might be in those artsy goody bags. By going to the Indiegogo Music & Art Community, Charity & Studio Fund website, you will find links to his friends. You can enjoy art work of all kinds by different people, you can listen to music. If your personal resources don’t lean toward making a contribution, then spread the news of this wonderful de la Loop community. Share the art, the music and the good vibes with your own community. After all, there are never too many beautiful things in the world.
