Lead Found in Imported Candy

Nov. 4, 2010 /EIN Presswire/-- The California Department of Public Health urged consumers to not eat Casa De Dulce Salted Plums w/Chile after finding high levels of lead in the Taiwanese product.

According to a California Department of Public Health analysis, the candy contained lead levels of 0.78 parts per million.

The Heritage Candy Company in Van Nuys Calif., the distributor of the salted plums, has initiated a recall of the product.
