U.S. Department of Energy Launches WINDExchange Initiative Focused on Enabling Well-Informed Decisions about the Appropriate Deployment of Wind Energy

Date: 5/5/2014

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is pleased to announce the launch of WINDExchange, the Wind Program's stakeholder engagement and outreach platform for wind energy. WINDExchange activities are focused on providing information that is fact-based, relevant, and actionable to support decisions by individuals, communities, and planners about wind energy development. WINDExchange will continue DOE's work to provide objective, high-quality information and outreach materials: wind resource maps; a biweekly e-newsletter; webinars; podcasts; databases; economic impact studies; fact sheets; and resources such as the online Small Wind Guidebook, Wind for Schools Portal, and Wind Working Group Toolkit. A suite of new products and tools are also in the works. The easiest way to learn about new materials is to subscribe to the WINDExchange biweekly e-newsletter. If you already subscribe to the e-newsletter from DOE Stakeholder Engagement & Outreach, your e-newsletter delivery will continue. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact DOE Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach Manager Brie Van Cleve or NREL Wind and Water Technology Deployment Manager Ian Baring-Gould.
