TECUMSEH, MI, USA, March 13, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- New online marketing will help campers prepare for their family camping vacation, published by Indian Creek Camp and Conference Center, referred to by campers as Indian Creek Campground.

Indian Creek Camp and Conference Center, referred to by campers as Indian Creek Campground, has been a favorite family campground in Southeastern Michigan for over 17 years, and recently launched new online marketing to help campers prepare for their camping vacation.

Lis Dorman, co-owner of the campground along with her husband, Rick, developed a website that introduced visitors to the camping experience before they’ve even arrived at the location in Tecumseh, Michigan. Information about campsites, activities, a calendar of regular events, and online reservations are some of the tools available for visitors to view. An on-site blog is growing with articles helpful for the novice camper as well as the experienced camper looking for new ideas for a weekend getaway, or a week-day camping special.

“We get a lot of questions about camping activities, and events in the surrounding area,” explained Dorman. “Our professional photographers did a great job capturing the fun that families were having, including the fishing, lawn games, swimming pool, and the general camping atmosphere. We are also enjoying adding information to the blog that people ask about.”

A new feature this year will be “Adventure Weekends” that will be scheduled for campers and visitors to enjoy various team-building confidence courses available on-site. “Indian Creek Campground has access to a climbing tower and zip lines, which our campers really enjoy,” Dorman said.

“Tecumseh Team Quest is also part of the property, where we offer outdoor adventure-based team building activities for corporations, schools and church groups,” explained Rick Dorman, owner of Tecumseh Team Quest. “It seemed like a natural blending of activities to offer adventure weekends where the campers and visitors can enjoy some of the ropes courses, challenge courses, zip lines, wall climbing and other outdoor activities. The schedule for these special events will be on our websites. We’ve also talked about joining activities with neighboring businesses such as rafting, sky diving, golfing and other outdoor activities close by in Southeastern Michigan.”

The privately owned campground is designed as family-friendly, which Dorman explained is a clean, quiet, family campground that won’t break your budget. Many of the normal activities are included in the camping fee; however some premium activities have a small charge to participate. “We wanted to develop a campground that was safe for families and their kids to enjoy; like the camping experience we had when our children were growing up,” she said. They also consider all the suggestions made by their visiting campers, which is why so many activities have been added over the years.

Camping patrons can make reservations online at the website for rustic and full hook-up sites, and larger RV sites. The small cabins that are available can be reserved by calling the office.
