OIG had several requirements since they only offer SaaS e-procurement solutions. First, OIG had to ensure their SaaS solutions are reliable and available 24X7 with no unplanned outages. "It is extremely critical for us to have a provider that stands behind us and stands behind the reliability of our SaaS offering," says Mark Wright, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer for OIG.
Another requirement OIG must meet is to be PCI compliant. Being PCI compliant verifies that a merchant or payment processor has conformed to the security standards set by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).
