Rent set for girlfriend of Thomas Kinkade to live in mansion

San Jose – The girlfriend of late artist Thomas Kinkade will be required to pay $11,000 per month to live in his mansion. As reported by the San Jose Mercury News, Amy Pinto sought to have the rent set at $8,500 claiming the security Kinkade’s estate maintains on the property to monitor his artwork and possessions is intrusive, but a judge rejected the request during a Santa Clara County Probate Court hearing.
Pinto claims that Kinkade, who died earlier this year of “acute intoxication” from Valium and alcohol at the age of 54, left her the house and $10 million for the establishment of a museum of his work in wills she purports were hand written by Kinkade months prior to his death.
Kinkade and Pinto began dating six months after he separated from his wife in 2010.
