Overcome Your Fear of Public Speaking: Marjorie Saulson of Vibrant Vocal Power Returns to CUTV News Radio
Vibrant Vocal Power is about empowering ourselves through the power of our voice, our message and sharing our gifts with the world.
FRANKLIN, MICHIGAN, USA, January 9, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Mark Twain famously said, “There are two types of public speakers: those who are nervous and those who are liars.” Indeed, public speaking is considered the greatest fear a person can have, even greater than the fear of death! This fear can prevent people from discovering and using their unique voice, from speaking their truth and reaching their personal and business goals. — Marjorie Saulson
Marjorie Saulson is the founder of Vibrant Vocal Power, a coaching practice dedicated to helping individuals who are nervous about public speaking, to develop their messages, acquire powerful presentation skills and overcome their fears. Known as “The Show Up, Speak Up, Stand Out and Succeed Specialist,” Marjorie guides fearful speakers to feel comfortable in any speaking situation.
“Vibrant Vocal Power is about empowering ourselves through the power of our voice, our message and sharing our gifts with the world,” says Marjorie.
Most people are afraid to speak in public, but that fear is not limited to speeches on stage. Marjorie also works with people who are afraid to speak up in a meeting or attend a networking event. Some people are even afraid to pick up the phone.
“I believe public speaking is any time you talk to someone other than yourself,” says Marjorie. “It’s important for your message to be engaging, understandable and digestible.”
According to Marjorie, overcoming fear of public speaking is about overcoming fear of criticism, fear of rejection and fear of failure. She offers specific strategies that will reduce your anxiety. Marjorie describes her process as “What, How and Allow:” Figure out what to say, how to say it, and allow yourself to say it.
“So much of public speaking is about having the practical details under control,” says Marjorie. “If you know you have got a great message and some presentation skills and you can handle the details, you are much more likely to have the audience with you and much less likely to have people reject what you’re saying. And if they reject it, they are rejecting the message, not the messenger. That’s something really powerful and important for people to know.”
CUTV News Radio will feature Marjorie Saulson in an interview with Jim Masters on January 11th at 11am EST.
